With the 2022 regular season officially in the books, the race to the FedEx Cup is on. 125 players will be playing for a chance to make it to the Tour Championship. The first step is to make it into the Top 70 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. This tournament was formerly known as the Northern Trust, which Tony Finau won back in 2021. This year, the Venue is set in Memphis at TPC Southwind.

A win at the St Jude could help propel just about any golfer in the field to the next round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. In addition to an extension of their season and a chance to take home the FedEx Cup, players are also aiming to take home a hefty pay day. The Total purse at the St Jude Championship in 2022 is $15 million. This Pot rivals that of the prize money offered at Majors Throughout the season. At the Masters, for example, the purse was 14.3 million, whereas the US Open had a $17.5 million pot. This winner of the St Jude Championship will be awarded $2.7 million, which is the typical 18% of the total purse we see at each event.
How much does the winning caddie make at the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship?
As is customary, we expect the winning caddie will take home 10% of the winners share of this year’s prize money. That amounts to a $270,000 payday, matching what we expected Ted Scott to take home at the Masters. Compared to what J.H Kim’s Caddie made at last week’s Wyndham Championship, this week’s winning caddie will be taking home a little over double that amount. This week's caddie be receiving 27% of the overall prize money available to the caddies that make the cut over the weekend.
