The AT&T Byron Nelson has long been one of the more attention-grabbing events on the PGA tour. Though not a designated event, it usually attracts the game’s top talent just on the strength of its name. This year is no different. At TPC Craig Ranch, in McKinney, TX, we have a full field of 151 players trying to secure a win and etch their name in history. Since this isn’t a designated event, The pot isn’t quite as large as the events it’s wedged in between.

The total purse at this year’s AT&T Byron Nelson is $9.5 million. In the world of designated events, this is just a tiny bump compared to the 2022 purse but the winner is still expected to take home enough money to take some financial pressure off. This year’s winner is projected to take home $1.71 million, which, to put into perspective, is 53% less that Tony Finau took home at the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship the week before.

In comparison to last year though, that’s a 5% more than Dan Parratt took home for being on K.H. Lee’s bag and just 13% more than 2nd place finishers at the 2023 RBC Heritage.
