Meet Paul Tesori: Cameron Young’s Caddie

Cameron Young is a golf professional on the PGA with real promise. His Journey to the PGA tour was the traditional route taken by most of the big stars on the tour but he has worked really hard to get himself on the Korn Ferry tour by playing in Monday qualifiers. With no status on the Korn Ferry Tour, he played so well that he won back to back weeks, securing him a Top 20 spot on the Korn Ferry money list and his PGA tour card. He burst onto the Tour with a series of top 10s, 3 of them being runner-up finishes including a solo second place finish at The 2022 British Open Championship. In his first year, Young went on to claim the rookie of the year award. There’s no doubt that his strong performance is due to all of the hard work he’s put in over the years. It also helps that golf runs very deep in his family. He’s the son of David Young, head pro at Sleepy Hollow Country Club, and his mother was also a teaching professional in the past. These are all factors that contribute to his playing ability and performance but here we like to highlight the person our PGA professionals trust the most to make crucial decisions under the most stressful circumstances. Let’s get to know Cameron Young’s caddie.

Though his career as a playing professional didn’t quite work out, Tesori has had a very successful caddie career on the bag for Webb Simpson. Paul Tesori partnered with Simpson for more than 10 years on tour and combined for 23 victories on tour with Including 2 majors.

About half way through the season, in the summer of 2022, Young partnered with Chad Reynolds but found themselves knocking at the door again without a breakthrough. The partnership between Cameron Young and Paul Tesori started in March 2023 at the Dell Technologies Match Play, where Cameron Young found himself in the runner-up spot yet again. With Tesori’s impressive resume, the Golf world is hoping this partnership will take young to the next level on the PGA Tour.
